			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>These cuts to the arts, community services, health, education and so on are not a matter of government paying for the financial crisis. What they are really paying for is tax cuts, just like the cuts in 2001-02. The BC Liberals cripple the ability of government to collect revenue, then degrade basic services, then sting the poor and middle class with new user fees and taxes, then at the end of four years they deliver some kind of small benefit, and a budget surplus, which somehow evaporates right after the election, then the whole mess starts over. Binge and purge. All for the sake of delivering government assets to their associates, and making sure that important party donors get their taxes reduced.</p>
